Newark Robbery ChargesA Newark, NJ man was recently arrested and charged with the armed robbery of a local grocery store.

The suspect is a 23-year-old man from Newark in Essex County, NJ. According to law enforcement, the suspect was one of three men who robbed the La Mina De Oro Grocery on Oriental Street in Newark, New Jersey. The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun and held up a store clerk before fleeing the area on foot.

Newark detectives investigated the robbery and identified one of the men – the 23-year-old Newark, NJ resident – and placed him under arrest. When police found the suspect, he was allegedly carrying 23 packets of heroin and 31 vials of cocaine.

The suspect has been charged with several crimes, including armed robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, heroin possession, and cocaine possession.

Newark police are still trying to find the other two men accused of committing the grocery store robbery.

Newark NJ Gas Station BurglaryNewark law enforcement is looking for the person who reportedly burglarized a local gas station during the late-night hours.

The suspect reportedly broke into the Delta Gas Station Mini-Market on Clinton Avenue in Newark, New Jersey. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect gained access to the gas station after 1:00 a.m.

Once inside the station, the suspect allegedly stole cash, lottery tickets, and other items for sale.

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose issued a statement about the break-in and indicated that authorities are actively investigating.

Anyone members of the public with information about the burglary are asked to call Newark NJ police.

If detectives are able to determine the identity of the culprit, that person could be charged with burglary and theft of movable property.

Newark Shooting ChargesA Newark, New Jersey man has been charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly used a gun to shoot someone outside a local residence.

The suspect is a 33-year-old resident of Newark in Essex County, NJ. According to authorities, the suspect got into a heated argument outside a home located near Dewey Street and Hobson Street in Newark. The argument ended when the suspect allegedly used a handgun to shoot the victim.

After the violent incident, the suspect reportedly ran off and fled the scene on foot.

The victim, a 30-year-old Newark man, drove himself to Beth Israel Hospital so that he could be treated for a gunshot wound.

Detectives with the Newark Police Department investigated the shooting and arrested the suspect.

The suspect now faces aggravated assault charges and criminal weapons charges.

East Orange Homicide SuspectEast Orange, NJ police are investigating the death of a local man. Authorities allege that the victim was stabbed by his mother during a violent dispute.

The victim, a 21-year-old resident of East Orange, reportedly got into a verbal argument with his 37-year-old mom shortly after 1:00 a.m. at a home located on the 100 block of Park Avenue. At some point, the verbal dispute turned physical and the suspect allegedly used a knife to fatally stab the victim.

East Orange cops and paramedics were called to the scene, but were unable to save the stabbing victim’s life.

The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with numerous crimes, including reckless manslaughter and unlawful possession of a weapon. The suspect also faces domestic violence charges due to her relationship to the victim.

If the suspect is convicted of homicide, she could potentially be sentenced to years behind bars in state prison.

After being arrested, the suspect was moved to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, New Jersey.

The driver, a 24-year-old Irvington man, has been charged with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and eluding police.

The four passengers – three Newark residents and one Irvington resident – face charges for receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.

The Newark Police Department started the investigation after getting word of illegal drug distribution throughout Newark.

Newark NJ detectives executed numerous search warrants and, over the course of just one week, made dozens of arrests of individuals accused of selling drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and marijuana.

Newark law enforcement seized narcotics, firearms, and money believed to represent the proceeds of illegal drug distribution. According to officials, Newark cops confiscated around 1,300 decks of heroin, 223 vials filled with cocaine, 90 bags of marijuana, and 97 prescription pills.

Police also reportedly seized six guns, including two rifles and one shotgun.

The suspects have been charged with various crimes: heroin distribution, cocaine distribution, marijuana possession, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

After being convicted by a jury in Essex County Superior Court, the suspect was sentenced to life in prison.

Robbery Suspect in Newark NJNewark NJ law enforcement is searching for two men accused of robbing at a local gas station.

The suspects reportedly committed the theft crime just after 12:30 p.m. at the Delta gas station on Clinton Avenue in Newark, New Jersey. According to authorities, the suspects entered the station and threatened a gas station worker and a customer.

The suspects allegedly got money from the victims and then exited the station. They were last seen heading south on Fabyan Place.

The Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office are currently working together on an investigation into the theft offense. If police can eventually determine the identities of the culprits, the suspects would likely face criminal charges for robbery.

It is also possible that the suspects could face enhanced charges. That’s because the use of a weapon, such as a firearm or a knife, during a theft crime is a first degree felony.
