Newark NJ Domestic Violence SuspectA Newark New Jersey man was recently placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence assault after he reportedly attacked a woman at a local home.

The suspect, a 60-year-old male, reportedly resides in Newark NJ and works for a nonprofit organization in the city. According to authorities, the suspect became violent and assaulted the victim at a residence in Newark’s South Ward.

The Newark Police Department got a call about a domestic violence incident around 1:00 a.m. and dispatched cops to the scene. When Newark NJ police officers arrived at the residence, they reportedly saw that the victim was suffering minor physical injuries. She was briefly treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken to nearby University Hospital.

Meanwhile, the suspect was arrested by law enforcement and charged with aggravated assault. He was then transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark NJ, where he was being held in advance of a bail hearing.

The suspect is a 52-year-old woman from Livingston, New Jersey. She was accused of conspiring with other individuals to steal almost $900,000 from a money lender. Newark NJ Gun Crime ChargesDetectives with an Essex County task force recently conducted a drug raid at a Newark NJ home and allegedly found illegally owned handguns.

The suspect is a 28-year-old resident of Newark, New Jersey. Police received information about illegal drug activity at the suspect’s residence on Melrose Place in Newark, NJ. The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force investigated and got search warrants.

Detectives later executed the search warrants and allegedly found multiple firearms, including a .38-caliber revolver and two semiautomatic pistols. Police officers also allegedly discovered “multiple” rounds of ammunition.

The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with a certain persons offense for being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.

Additionally, the suspect was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia because Essex County detectives reportedly found him with drug scales used to weigh narcotics for distribution.

The suspect ultimately avoided trial in U.S. District Court by reaching a plea deal with federal prosecutors. The suspect pleaded guilty to the attempted murder and racketeering charges and prosecutors agreed to recommend a sentence of 22 years in a federal penitentiary. The suspect will also be subject to five years of supervised released after he finishes his prison sentence.

On July 10, the suspect will appear in court for a formal sentencing hearing.

Newark NJ Assault ChargesNewark law enforcement recently captured a local woman who allegedly stabbed a man at an apartment in the East Ward.

The victim, a 49-year-old Newark NJ man, was transported to nearby University Hospital. Doctors at the medical facility treated the victim for a knife wound. Fortunately, he was expected to survive his injuries.

Newark detectives conducted an investigation and identified the suspect in the stabbing at a 47-year-old woman from Newark, New Jersey. She was captured a few days later and taken to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

The suspect has been charged with several crimes, including aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

The two alleged robbers reportedly got away with the victim’s wallet, cash, and certain personal possessions.

Newark NJ detectives conducted an exhaustive investigation into the robbery and eventually determined the identity of one of the suspects. The Newark Fugitive Apprehension Team then tracked down the identified suspect on a street in East Orange NJ and placed him under arrest.

The suspect now faces criminal charges for armed robbery and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Montclair NJ Theft AttorneysMontclair New Jersey police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a very expensive bicycle from a local bicycle shop.

The suspect reportedly committed the theft offense at Diamond Cycle on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, NJ. According to store workers, the suspect spent a long time looking around the shop, then jumped on a 2014 black and yellow Cannondale Scalpel bicycle that had been left at the store to be repaired. The suspect allegedly took the bike out a back door and rode off.
