According to authorities, six suspects committed a carjacking early in the morning in Newark, New Jersey. The suspects allegedly stole a silver Jaguar sedan as the victim drove through the Valisburg section of Newark, NJ.

A retired Belleville NJ police officer has been indicted on attempted murder charges in Nutley, NJ.
The 62-year-old suspect was reportedly at his home in Nutley when he brandished a handgun and shot his 58-year-old brother. The incident reportedly happened on February 27.
The shooting left the victim with a gunshot wound to his spine.

According to officials, the shooting happened at a cookout on the 800 block of South 17th Street in Newark, NJ. The boy suffered a gunshot wound in the head. Another man attending the cookout sustained a gunshot wound in the arm.
