Maplewood Aggravated Assault LawyersPolice are trying to find the person responsible for a stabbing incident in Maplewood, New Jersey. The assault reportedly caused significant physical injuries to a man who was walking on a Maplewood street.

The victim is a 23-year-old resident of Newark, NJ. According to authorities, he was walking in the area of Coolidge Road and Irvington Avenue in Maplewood NJ just before 8:00 p.m. when the suspect attacked him with a knife.

Someone subsequently dialed 911 to alert local law enforcement, which dispatched police officers to the scene. Maplewood cops soon arrived at the scene and canvassed the area in search of the suspect, but they could not locate him.

It is believed that the suspect and the victim know each other. The victim told police that he and the suspect got into a heated verbal argument which eventually spilled over into violence. That’s when the suspect allegedly took a knife out of his pocket and used it to stab the victim.

If police can eventually locate and arrest the suspect, he would probably face serious criminal charges for aggravated assault. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:12(1)(b), anyone who uses a deadly weapon like a knife or a handgun while assaulting someone else can be charged with a third degree crime. A conviction for third degree aggravated assault could result in a sentence of 3-5 years in NJ State Prison.

Orange New Jersey Assault AttorneysPolice in Orange New Jersey are looking into four separate shootings that resulted in significant physical injuries to at least four people.

The shootings occurred over a period of just four days, with two of the shooting incidents happening within an hour of each other.

According to Orange authorities, the first shooting occurred on a Saturday night. The victim, an adult male, was walking on Elizabeth Street in Orange NJ when someone fired a gunshot at him. The victim was treated for his injuries at an Essex County hospital and was later listed in stable condition.

The second shooting incident happened on the same night in the area of North Center Street and Washington Street. The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was shot in his arm as he walked along North Center Street. Fortunately, he survived the attack.

Later in the week, the third shooting incident occurred. An adult male sustained serious injuries when he was shot while walking along Oakwood Avenue in Orange, New Jersey. According to officials, there were several gunshots fired.

Authorities have not released any information about the fourth shooting incident.

Detectives with the Orange Police Department are investigating the four shootings and looking for suspects. If police can eventually identify the shooters, criminal charges for aggravated assault could be forthcoming. N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1 stipulates that anyone who uses a deadly weapon like a handgun or a knife to knowingly cause a bodily injury can be charged with a third degree criminal offense. A conviction on third degree aggravated assault charges could result in a sentence of 3-5 years in NJ State Prison.

Additionally, the shooters could potentially be charged with weapons offenses.

Newark NJ Robbery ChargesA Newark New Jersey man accused of robbing an Ironbound jewelry store has been captured in Virginia.

On December 1, 2016, the suspect allegedly robbed Vinhas Jewelers Inc., which is located on Ferry Street in Newark. According to authorities, the suspect walked into the store and asked a clerk to show him several gold chains. The suspect then allegedly flashed a handgun at the clerk, grabbed the gold chains, and exited the store.

The owner of the store tried to follow the suspect, but the suspect allegedly used the gun to fire at least one gunshot at the owner.

According to law enforcement, the suspect was able to get away by carjacking a Nissan Altima and driving off.

Newark Major Crimes Bureau detectives investigated the theft incident and obtained video surveillance images that show the culprit with a tattoo on his right arm.
Investigators received numerous tips that eventually led to the capture of the suspect

in Virginia. Members of the U.S. Marshals Service found the suspect and arrested him.

The suspect is a 29-year-old man from Newark, New Jersey. He now faces a number of criminal charges, including armed robbery, carjacking, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Belleville NJ Criminal ChargesA man accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile in Belleville New Jersey is scheduled to make an appearance in Essex County Superior Court.

The suspect, a 42-year-old man who lives in Belleville NJ, reportedly works as a youth sports videographer and operates Primetime Sports, LLC.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect committed the sexual offenses at his apartment in Belleville, NJ. Authorities learned about the alleged sexual assaults while investigating the suspect for a different sex crime: attempting to lure a juvenile to his residence for the purpose of engaging in sexual relations.

The suspect was apprehended at the conclusion of an undercover sting operation. A detective with the NJ State Police posed as a 13-year-old boy and allegedly exchanged online messages with the suspect. At some point, the undercover cop and the suspect reportedly made arrangements to meet in person somewhere in Woodbridge, NJ. The suspect did not arrive for that planned meeting, so police obtained a search warrant for his Belleville NJ apartment.

While searching the suspect’s home, cops reportedly found evidence that the suspect had sexually assaulted a minor. According to law enforcement, the suspect sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy on at least three occasions at his Belleville residence.

The suspect faces multiple sex crime charges, including luring and sexual assault.

Newark New Jersey Burglary ChargesPolice officer arrested a Newark NJ man who allegedly burglarized a house in Hudson County NJ and stole valuable electronics.

The suspect, a 59-year-old man who lives in Newark, reportedly broke into a house located on Belleville Turnpike in Kearny, NJ. Once inside the residence, the suspect allegedly stole expensive electronic items that included the homeowner’s laptop and cell phone.

The suspect was reportedly discovered committing the break-in and theft when the homeowner opened the door and found him standing inside the residence. The suspect then allegedly ran away and fled the scene.

The Kearny Police Department dispatched cops to the area and they quickly located and captured the suspect. When police arrested the suspect, he allegedly had a pair of pliers, an unspecified amount of heroin, an unspecified quantity of liquid methadone, and 39 Oxycodone pills.

The suspect faces criminal charges for burglary, theft of movable property, possession of burglary tools, possession of heroin, and illegal possession of prescription drugs.

He is currently being held at the Hudson County Jail, with no bail amount.

Newark Hit and Run Accident SuspectNewark New Jersey police officers arrested a local man who was allegedly caught driving a stolen car and then leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in injuries to two motorists.

The suspect is accused of stealing a 2002 Jeep Laredo in December. Newark patrol officers reportedly observed suspect driving the Jeep near the intersection of North 13th Avenue and 7th Avenue in Newark and failing to come to a complete stop. The cops tried to pull over the suspect’s vehicle, but he allegedly hit the gas and led police on a brief pursuit.

The police chase ended when the suspect reportedly crashed into two cars stopped near Orange Street and Roseville Avenue. The suspect then allegedly exited the Jeep and tried to flee on foot, but police quickly apprehended him.

Two people in the stopped cars sustained minor injuries in the car crash and required medical treatment at University Hospital.

Meanwhile, a vehicle check reportedly indicated that the suspect’s Jeep had been reported stolen out of Belleville, New Jersey.

The suspect, a 32-year-old Newark man, faces criminal charges for receiving stolen property, aggravated assault, eluding police, and resisting arrest.

According to law enforcement, the suspect is also being investigated for his possible involvement in several other crimes committed in Newark and surrounding areas of Essex County.

Newark NJ Heroin Distribution SuspectToms River law enforcement recently arrested a Newark NJ man accused of manufacturing and distributing heroin in Ocean County, New Jersey.

The suspect is a 27-year-old resident of Newark, New Jersey. Police got a tip about illegal drug activity in Ocean County and started an investigation. Multiple law enforcement agencies participated in the investigation, including the Toms River Police Department Special Enforcement Team, the Lavallette Police Department, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Operations Group, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

At the conclusion of the investigation, police obtained search warrants and an arrest warrant. Detectives then conducted searches at residences located in Winteringham Village in Toms River and on the 100 block of Philadelphia Avenue in Lavallette, New Jersey.

During the searches, police officers reportedly discovered 250 wax folds of heroin, 50 grams of powder heroin, and various drug paraphernalia such as empty wax folds, stamps, and sifters.

The suspect faces very serious charges for several drug offenses, including possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and maintaining a heroin manufacturing facility.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was transported to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, New Jersey. He was being held at the jail on a bail amount of $75,000.

Newark NJ Murder ChargesA Newark New Jersey man accused of fatally shooting someone on a city street in December has been captured by law enforcement.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect committed the murder during the early morning hours of December 30, 2016. The Newark Police Department got a call about a man who was passed out on the 300 block of South 11th Street in Newark, NJ. However, when Newark NJ officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, a 27-year-old resident of Sunrise, Florida, was pronounced dead a short time later.

The Newark Police Department conducted an investigation into the killing and determined that the victim was shot and killed during a robbery.

Investigators soon identified the suspect as a 38-year-old Newark man. Now the suspect is in police custody, having been apprehended by Newark NJ cops and members of the FBI Fugitive Task Force.

The suspect faces numerous criminal charges, including felony murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Essex County Jail in Newark, NJ. He was being held at the jail on an undisclosed bail amount.

Newark NJ Church Burglary ChargesNewark New Jersey law enforcement is still trying to find the person who allegedly burglarized a Newark church five years ago.

The suspect allegedly committed the property crime at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church on August 11, 2011. According to Essex County officials, the suspect broke into the church, which is located on Sanford Avenue in Newark NJ, and stole several items.

When Newark NJ police officers arrived at the church, they saw that a window had been broken. Investigators determined that the suspect was able to get inside the church by breaking the window.

Officials at the church spoke with Newark detectives and said that the burglar stole a number of expensive electronic items and religious items.

Police were eventually able to identify the burglary suspect as a 55-year-old Newark resident. It has now been revealed that an arrest warrant was issued in the case.

Newark NJ Aggravated Assault SuspectNewark NJ police are looking for a suspect in the recent stabbing of a man on a street located in the city’s East Ward.

The violent stabbing incident occurred in the area of Astor Street and Broad Street around 12:30 p.m. The Newark Police Department got a 911 call about a fight and sent cops to the scene. When Newark police officers arrived in the area, they found the victim lying on the pavement and suffering from serious injuries.

The victim, a 33-year-old Newark NJ resident, was subsequently transported to nearby University Hospital. Doctors at the Newark medical facility treated the victim for his stab wounds and later listed him in stable condition.

Newark NJ detectives talked to the victim and soon identified the suspect as a 53-year-old Newark man. Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose later indicated that law enforcement is actively investigating the crime and is trying to find the suspect.
