Police officer arrested a Newark NJ man who allegedly burglarized a house in Hudson County NJ and stole valuable electronics.
The suspect, a 59-year-old man who lives in Newark, reportedly broke into a house located on Belleville Turnpike in Kearny, NJ. Once inside the residence, the suspect allegedly stole expensive electronic items that included the homeowner’s laptop and cell phone.
The suspect was reportedly discovered committing the break-in and theft when the homeowner opened the door and found him standing inside the residence. The suspect then allegedly ran away and fled the scene.
The Kearny Police Department dispatched cops to the area and they quickly located and captured the suspect. When police arrested the suspect, he allegedly had a pair of pliers, an unspecified amount of heroin, an unspecified quantity of liquid methadone, and 39 Oxycodone pills.
The suspect faces criminal charges for burglary, theft of movable property, possession of burglary tools, possession of heroin, and illegal possession of prescription drugs.
He is currently being held at the Hudson County Jail, with no bail amount.
