The suspect was arrested and charged with several criminal offenses, including possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of a weapon, and other weapons offenses.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, New Jersey. He was being held at the jail in lieu of a massive $500K bond amount.

When police officers got to the store, which is located on the corner of Williams Avenue and Bennett Street in Jersey City, they saw the suspect using a black Dodge pick-up truck to push a Ford truck.

When the police officers turned on their emergency lights, the suspect allegedly switched vehicles and drove away. The suspect drove at a “very high rate of speed” and hopped the curb while heading south on Bennett Street.

Police chased the suspect down Virginia Avenue and onto Route 440. Eventually, the suspect allegedly made an illegal left turn and traveled west on the Route 1&9 Lincoln Highway Bridge.

At one point, the suspect collided with another motorist and slammed on his brakes. A pursuing police car then hit the rear of the suspect’s truck, causing minor damage to the police vehicle.

The suspect reportedly hit the gas and drove off in the direction of Kearny, New Jersey. Police officers chose not to continue their pursuit “because of civilian and officer safety.”

Thankfully, nobody suffered a serious injury as a result of the car accident.

Later, Jersey City police ran a check on the truck’s license plate and learned that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Newark, NJ.

If the suspect is ultimately identified and captured, he would probably be subject to serious criminal charges for auto theft and eluding police. It is also likely that the suspect would be issued citations for several traffic violations, including reckless driving.

According to authorities, the 38-year-old suspect was driving on Two Bridges Road in Fairfield NJ around 12:36 p.m. when he was stopped by a Fairfield patrol officer. The Fairfield cop reportedly observed the suspect using his cell phone while driving.

When the patrol cop walked toward the suspect’s car, he reportedly detected the strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The Fairfield officer subsequently searched the suspect’s car and allegedly found marijuana, prescription medication, steroids, a hypodermic needle, and a digital scale. Moreover, police allegedly discovered the suspect with an imitation handgun, a stun gun, a bulletproof vest, and a dagger.

Fairfield police arrested the suspect and brought him to the Fairfield police station, where they reportedly found him with a small bag of cocaine.

When Fairfield NJ police ran a background check on the suspect’s license, they reportedly found out that the suspect’s license was suspended. Additionally, the suspect reportedly had a number of open arrest warrants out of Jersey City and Union City, as well as an arrest warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department.

The suspect, who resides in Union City, New Jersey, faces several criminal charges, including simple possession of marijuana, prescription drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of an imitation handgun.

The suspect has also been issued a traffic citation for driving with a suspended license.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was handed over to the custody of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department.

Newark Hoverboard Robbery SuspectsPolice in Bloomfield New Jersey recently arrested five Newark NJ residents who allegedly assaulted a teen during an attempted robbery.

The theft incident happened around 10:00 p.m. According to officials, the suspects attacked a 15-year-old boy while he was riding a hoverboard along Franklin Street in Bloomfield, NJ.

The suspects allegedly surrounded the victim and then violently assaulted him, with one of the suspects reportedly punching the victim in the face.

When the victim defended himself against his attackers and fended off the attempted theft of his hoverboard, the suspects fled the scene on foot.

The victim dialed 911 and notified the Bloomfield Police Department, which immediately sent police officers to the scene. Police soon located the suspects standing around the intersection of Watsessing Avenue and Berkeley Avenue in Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Police then searched the suspects and allegedly found a cell phone that had been reported stolen during a robbery in Belleville, NJ.

Two of the suspects are 19 years old, so they face criminal charges. After being arrested and processed, they were remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark. Meanwhile, the other suspects were taken to the Essex County Juvenile Detention Center because they are juveniles.

All five suspects are said to be from Newark, New Jersey.

The two adult suspects have been charged with second degree robbery and aggravated assault. If they are convicted on the most serious robbery charges, they could potentially be sentenced to as many as 10 years in New Jersey State Prison.

The man was killed around 2:13 a.m., not long after the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve. The Newark Police Department received an emergency call about a domestic altercation at an apartment located on Spruce Street in Newark, NJ.

When Newark police officers got to the apartment building and went to the residence, they found the victim unresponsive.

Emergency medical responders treated the victim at the scene, but he was pronounced dead shortly after they got to the scene.

Law enforcement indicated that the victim died due to injuries sustained during a domestic dispute. The precise cause of death won’t be determined until Essex County coroners are able to perform an autopsy on the victim.

Meanwhile, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is looking into the death.

The victim’s two brothers were also murder victims in Newark, NJ during the past five years. One brother was just 21 years old when he was fatally shot in what Newark officials called “gang violence”; the other brother was also 21 years old when he was murdered while walking on Bedford Street.

Meanwhile, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka attended a city council meeting and offered his condolences to the mother while calling her tragic losses “heartbreaking.”
