Newark Robbery ChargesA Newark New Jersey man was sentenced to 15 years in NJ State Prison after an Essex County jury convicted him on robbery charges.

The suspect, a 30-year-old resident of Newark, NJ, reportedly robbed a woman on Frelinghuysen Avenue in Newark, New Jersey. During the theft attempt, the victim refused to give the suspect her pocketbook. This allegedly prompted the suspect to attack the woman, grab her purse, and run from the scene.

Newark police officers eventually located and arrested the suspect. He was then charged with numerous crimes, including second degree robbery and simple assault.

At the end of a trial in Essex County Superior Court, a jury found the suspect guilty on the robbery charges and the simple assault charges.

Now the suspect is headed to state prison after being sentenced to 15 years on the criminal charges. He will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before he can become eligible for release.

Newark NJ DCP&P InvestigationA man who allegedly kidnapped his kids during a supervised custody visit in Newark New Jersey was recently located by authorities.

The suspect, a 30-year-old man who is believed to be homeless, reportedly had a visit with his two children at the New Jersey Family Court Complex in the Wilentz Justice Complex on Washington Street in Newark, NJ.

A Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) employee was present at the visit between the suspect and his children, a five-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl, because the visit had to be supervised.

When the DCP&P worker stepped out of the room, the suspect reportedly left with his children.

Law enforcement eventually found the suspect and the victims. Fortunately, the children were not harmed.

The suspect was arrested and could face criminal charges in connection with the alleged abduction. Additionally, he will likely be subject to an investigation by DCP&P.

Newark NJ DWI SuspectA Newark New Jersey man faces charges for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in NY after he allegedly caused a DUI accident and struck a pedestrian.

The suspect is a 50-year-old man who lives in Newark in Essex County, NJ. The alleged drunk driving accident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. According to New York law enforcement officials, the suspect was behind the wheel of a car and driving on a street in Long Island NY when he crashed into a woman trying to cross the road.

The victim is a 46-year-old woman from New York. She reportedly suffered minor injuries in the pedestrian accident.

Authorities stated that the suspect has a prior record of drunk driving convictions in New Jersey. According to officials, the suspect’s license has been suspended or revoked on eight occasions.

Now the suspect could face additional penalties after being charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), driving while suspended, and driving without an ignition interlock device.

The following day, the dogs were returned to the victim.

Detectives with the Newark Police Department conducted an investigation into the theft incident and eventually determined that the suspect may have been lying about the robbery. It is believed by authorities that the suspect conspired with another employee at the Newark NJ Domino’s and stole money from the pizza restaurant.

The suspect faces several criminal charges, including theft, conspiracy, and making false reports to police.

The deceased suspect was an 18-year-old male from Newark, NJ. According to Essex County NJ authorities, the suspect was one of three individuals who stole the motor vehicle, a Mercedes Benz, in Newark and then drove away.

Newark New Jersey cops got to the scene and chased the suspects. The high-speed pursuit eventually ended in a crash into a utility pole on Holland Street, with the teenage driver being thrown through the car.

Paramedics took the victim to nearby University Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The other two suspects, a 20-year-old Newark male and a 21-year-old Newark NJ male, were arrested at the scene of the accident.

The other suspects face criminal charges for receiving stolen property, eluding police, and resisting arrest.

Newark NJ Robbery SuspectsNewark New Jersey police arrested three local men who allegedly committed an armed robbery.

The suspects have been accused of robbing two people late at night while the victims walked near the intersection of Chestnut Street and Oliver Street in the Ironbound part of Newark, NJ.

The victims found a couple of Newark police officers on patrol and alerted them to the theft incident. The victims, a man and a woman, told police that they were robbed while walking along Chestnut Street.

Newark NJ cops soon found the suspects in a Ford Expedition SUV.

While searching the suspects’ vehicle, police reportedly discovered a loaded .9mm gun and illegal narcotics that included 14 baggies filled with marijuana, 13 vials of crack cocaine, and 15 glassine envelopes of heroin. Authorities later learned that the handgun was reportedly stolen out of Florida.

The three suspects are from Newark, NJ. They face multiple criminal charges, including armed robbery, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, cocaine possession, heroin possession, and weapons offenses.

The victim, a 31-year-old female resident of Union NJ, notified Port Authority cops at the scene.

Port Authority police soon located the suspect and chased him across railroad tracks and through nearby parking lots. Police officers eventually caught up to the suspect and placed him under arrest.

After being arrested, the suspect was taken to East Orange General Hospital for a medical evaluation because he may have suffered injuries while being apprehended. According to authorities, the suspect tried to bite the arresting Port Authority officers.

The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including robbery, theft of service, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and interference with transportation.

The violent incident happened outside Wet Gentlemen’s Club, a strip club located in Belleville, New Jersey. The suspect allegedly got into a heated argument with the victim and later used a handgun to shoot the victim in the back.

Belleville NJ cops eventually apprehended the suspect. He was subsequently charged with numerous crimes, including first degree murder and weapons offenses. The most serious charge of murder could have resulted in life imprisonment.

The suspect avoided the most severe penalties by reaching a plea agreement with Essex County prosecutors and pleading guilty to charges for aggravated manslaughter.

During a formal sentencing hearing in Essex County Superior Court, located in Newark, the suspect apologized to members of the victim’s family. The judge then sentenced the suspect to 20 years behind bars.

Additionally, Newark law enforcement reportedly saw the suspect leaving the apartment through a window, heading down a fire escape, and trying to flee the area on foot. Police officers chased down the suspect outside the building and placed him under arrest.

The suspect has been charged with criminal mischief. It is possible that additional charges for arson could be forthcoming because authorities are actively investigating the case.
