Newark NJ Drug Possession AttorneysPolice officers arrested a Newark New Jersey man who was allegedly in possession of a handgun and illegal drugs while driving in Harrison, NJ.

The suspect is a 20-year-old man from Newark, NJ. According to law enforcement officials, Harrison patrol cops saw the suspect operating a BMW and driving erratically on the 600 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard in Harrison, New Jersey.

Police stopped the suspect’s car and approached the driver’s side to speak to the suspect. At some point, the Harrison police officers reportedly detected an odor of marijuana coming from the motor vehicle.

Police officers then ran a computer check on the Newark suspect and reportedly discovered that he had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Newark in Essex County, NJ.

Police later searched the suspect’s motor vehicle and allegedly discovered a bag with a concealed 9mm handgun loaded with both hollow-point ammunition and regular bullets.

The search of the car also allegedly turned up large amounts of illegal narcotics, including marijuana, heroin, and crack cocaine.

The suspect now faces multiple criminal charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, heroin possession, and cocaine possession.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was taken to the Hudson County Jail in Kearny, NJ.
