Newark Heroin Distribution SuspectLaw enforcement is searching for a Newark New Jersey woman accused of trafficking heroin from NJ to NY.

The suspect is a 54-year-old woman who lives in Newark, NJ. According to Upstate New York police officials, the suspect was responsible for a drug trafficking operation that moved a large amount of heroin from Passaic County, NJ to Syracuse, NY.

If police can eventually locate and apprehend the suspect, she will face charges for conspiracy to distribute heroin.

A conviction on the drug offense charges in New York would result in severe penalties, including a lengthy term of incarceration.

One factor in any punishment could be the suspect’s prior criminal record. According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office in Upstate NY, the suspect has an earlier conviction on her record for possessing more than 500 bundles of heroin.
