Bloomfield New Jersey Heroin SuspectNewark NJ police recently seized a large amount of illicit narcotics and arrested a Bloomfield NJ man suspected of dealing drugs in Essex County, New Jersey.

According to law enforcement, the suspect ran a major drug operation throughout Essex County. When police became aware of the drug trafficking network, they started an investigation into the suspect. The agencies involved in the investigation included the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the Bloomfield Police Department, and the Newark Police Department.

After investigators obtained enough evidence, they executed a search warrant at the suspect’s apartment, which is located in Bloomfield, NJ.

During a subsequent search of the suspect’s home, detectives allegedly found 528 bricks of heroin, as well as more than 70 pounds of marijuana. The drugs seized by law enforcement reportedly have a street value of approximately $650,000.

Police also allegedly divorced a loaded rifle at the suspect’s residence.

The suspect, a 37-year-old male who resides in Bloomfield, New Jersey, has been charged with several drug crimes, including possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and distribution of marijuana.
