Police recently arrested four people on drug-related crimes in Essex County, NJ.
According to law enforcement, the arrests were a result of separate investigations in Newark and Bloomfield, New Jersey.
Police made the first arrests in Bloomfield, NJ. Essex County Sheriff’s Office detectives reportedly found two suspects with a bag filled with 700 envelopes of heroin.
The suspects, a 19-year-old Montclair female and a 27-year-old Paterson male, were arrested and charged with heroin possession.
Not long after that, Essex County Sheriff’s Office detectives busted a third person who was allegedly involved in a drug transaction near Broadway and Delavan Avenue in Newark, NJ. The suspect, a 42-year-old Newark NJ man, was arrested and charged with several drug crimes, including possession of crack cocaine.
Additionally, the suspect was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon because police allegedly found him with illegal handguns.
Police officers arrested a fourth person in connection with a surveillance investigation around Fabian Place and Hawthorne Avenue in Newark. The 30-year-old suspect, who is from Newark NJ, was reportedly observed in the process of exchanging cash for vials of crack cocaine. He was arrested and subsequently charged with crack cocaine possession.
