Police recently busted three men accused of selling drugs at a discount store in Newark, NJ.
According to authorities, the suspects committed the drug offenses at a 99-cent store located at 303 Clinton Avenue in the South Ward of Newark, New Jersey.
After getting a tip about possible drug activity in the neighborhood, members of the Essex County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Narcotics went to the area to investigate. The officers were assisted by Irvington police.
Authorities conducted surveillance at the store and reportedly observed the three suspects, who all live in Newark, rotate in shifts outside the store. A woman eventually approached one of the suspects and allegedly engaged in a drug deal. One of the suspects allegedly handed her a small package in exchange for cash.

Once police were able to enter the building, they reportedly found 27 bags of marijuana, as well as materials used to package and process drugs. Additionally, police reportedly found five envelopes of heroin being held by one of the suspects.
All three suspects have been charged with drug possession and drug distribution offenses, including possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of heroin.
