Essex County law enforcement recently arrested 48 people after conducting a major drug bust called “Operation TIDE.”
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the drug network operated throughout Essex County, NJ. The drug distribution ring was reportedly overseen by the 793 set of the Bloods gang.
Most of the 48 suspects were placed under arrest during police raids conducted on July 1.
The suspects who were apprehended in early July include a range of individuals. The suspects were charged with a variety of criminal offenses such as simple possession of marijuana, marijuana distribution, heroin possession, and even murder.
Now Essex County officials are asking for the public’s help in locating the seven remaining suspects. Essex County police said that the suspects are still at large and could be in New Jersey.
One of the suspects is a 51-year-old Newark NJ man accused of heroin possession and conspiracy to distribute heroin.
Another suspect still being sought by police is a 26-year-old Newark man who allegedly possessed heroin near a school in Essex County, New Jersey.
One of the other suspects who is still at large is a 50-year-old man from Jersey City NJ who is accused of possessing heroin and conspiring to distribute heroin.
