Newark NJ Heroin Distribution LawyersNewark NJ police arrested three men who were allegedly involved in a heroin sale in a West Ward neighborhood.

Authorities received multiple complaints about possible drug activity at a residence located near South 7th Street and 12th Avenue in Newark, New Jersey.

One complaint came from an anonymous tipster who called the Newark Police Department tip line. The caller gave law enforcement a detailed description of one suspect, as well as detailed information about the location of the suspect’s drug stash. The caller also provided police with a description of the suspect’s car and license plate number.

After receiving the information from the tipster, the Newark Police Department Narcotics Enforcement Section sent detectives to the area to establish surveillance.

Not long after police set up surveillance, a plainclothes detective allegedly observed the suspect and two other men sitting in a vehicle. According to officials, the men appeared to be involved in a drug transaction.

Newark NJ detectives alerted other officers and told them to stop the suspects’ vehicle after they left the area. The car soon drove off with two of the men inside.

Police pulled over the suspects’ vehicle and arrested the driver. The passenger was also arrested after police searched him and allegedly found him in possession of several decks of heroin.

Newark detectives later located and apprehended the third man. He was also placed under arrest.

Newark NJ police officers allegedly seized heroin, a loaded .9mm handgun, and possible drug deal proceeds.

The three suspects, who are from Newark NJ, all face charges with drug crimes. The main suspect has been charged with heroin distribution and unlawful possession of a weapon.
