Newark police officers are looking for a man suspected of being involved in a violent shooting incident.
The shooting happened just before 1:00 a.m. in the area of Cutler Street and 6th Avenue in Newark, NJ. Police found the victim suffering from a serious gunshot wound while sitting inside a motor vehicle that was parked along Cutler Street.
Paramedics rushed the victim to University Hospital so that he could be treated for his injuries.
One week later, the suspect was apprehended by Newark NJ police officers and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and receiving stolen property.
The suspect was later released from police custody while the criminal charges are pending. However, he was required to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet so that authorities could keep track of his whereabouts.
Now the suspect is reportedly on the loose after removing the monitoring bracelet. Newark law enforcement is currently searching for the suspect.
