Law enforcement recently captured a Montclair, New Jersey man who reportedly attempted to rob someone on a Newark street.
The suspect is a 27-year-old man who lives in Montclair in Essex County, New Jersey. According to Newark authorities, the suspect was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim as they both sat inside a vehicle parked along the 500 block of Bloomfield Avenue in Newark.
At some point, the verbal argument turned physical and the suspect allegedly tried to steal items from the victim. The victim reportedly got out of the car and ran toward a nearby Domino’s Pizza restaurant.
The suspect reportedly chased after the victim and tried to get inside the restaurant by smashing exterior windows.
New Jersey State troopers soon arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect.
The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including robbery, criminal mischief, and aggravated assault on a police officer.
