Newark Domestic Violence SuspectPolice officers recently arrested a Newark man accused of committing a domestic violence assault against a female family member and shoving a cop in Kearny, NJ.

The suspect is a 21-year-old man who lives in Newark in Essex County, New Jersey. According to authorities, the suspect got into verbal altercation with a woman at a home in Kearny, New Jersey. When the verbal argument became a physical altercation, the suspect allegedly punched and kicked the victim across her body and face.

Kearny NJ police officers went to the residence and placed the suspect under arrest. However, while the suspect was being into a police car, he allegedly resisted and shoved a police officer in the chest.

Meanwhile, the victim’s injuries were so severe that she required medical care at a nearby hospital.

The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including simple assault, aggravated assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest.

Moreover, the suspect may be subject to a restraining order because the assault victim is a family member.

After being arrested and charged, the suspect was taken to the Hudson County Jail in Kearny, NJ.
