Newark New Jersey police are investigating a recent shooting and attempting to find the possible culprit.
The shooting incident happened around 9:00 p.m. near the intersection of Vassar Avenue and Maple Avenue in Newark, NJ. According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, a 33-year-old man suffered non-fatal injuries as a result of the shooting.
The victim was walking along Vassar Avenue when someone used a gun to fire multiple gunshots in his direction.
The victim was later taken to Newark Beth Israel Hospital, where he received urgent medical treatment for his gunshot wounds. The shooting victim was later released from the Newark NJ hospital.
Newark police detectives investigated the violent incident and identified a 20-year-old Newark male as a suspect in the shooting. Law enforcement is looking for the suspect.
The suspect will probably be subject to very serious criminal charges for aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
