Newark NJ Aggravated Assault LawyersNewark NJ police are looking into the shooting of a woman that caused serious personal injuries.

The non-fatal shooting happened around 4:00 p.m. According to authorities, the victim was walking along the 100 block of Ridge Street when someone drove by her in car and fired multiple gunshots.

The Newark Police Department got a report of gunshots being fired and immediately sent police officers to the area. When Newark NJ police arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found the victim lying on the pavement and suffering from a gunshot-related injury.

The 47-year-old victim resides in Newark, New Jersey. Emergency medical responders treated her at the scene before taking her to Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. After doctors at the Belleville hospital treated the victim for a gunshot wound, she was listed in stable condition. Her injuries are not considered life threatening.

Meanwhile, Newark New Jersey cops arrested two suspects near the scene of the non-fatal shooting. Two men were allegedly spotted attempting to flee the area in a motor vehicle. Somewhere along Grafton Avenue, the suspects reportedly crashed their car. They were subsequently arrested by Newark law enforcement.

The suspects, a 32-year-old male and a 25-year-old male, both live in Newark, New Jersey.

The 32-year-old Newark NJ suspect faces criminal charges for resisting arrest and obstructing the administration of law. Meanwhile, the 25-year-old suspect faces more serious charges for illegal possession of a handgun because police officers allegedly found him in possession of an unregistered firearm.

Law enforcement officials indicated that the suspects could be subject to additional criminal charges. It is possible that they will also be charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting.
