Newark Carjacking AttorneysA Newark New Jersey man was arrested in connection with three carjackings in Hillside, NJ.

The suspect, a 27-year-old man from Newark in Essex County, NJ, allegedly stole an Audi shortly after 2:00 p.m. and then drove to a house on Stanley Terrace in Hillside, NJ. The suspect then reportedly walked into the home and used a .40-caliber gun to threaten a resident.

The resident fled the home and dialed 911 to alert law enforcement. Hillside NJ cops were sent to the scene, but the suspect was gone by the time they arrived.

The suspect reportedly went to a nearby residence on Bernard Terrace and threatened someone else with the handgun. The suspect allegedly ordered the victim to hand over the keys to her car. However, the suspect reportedly fled again after he heard police sirens in the area.

According to police, the suspect threatened to two more people and tried to steal another vehicle while being pursued by law enforcement. Hillside NJ officers soon caught the suspect.

The suspect was charged with multiple crimes, including carjacking, burglary, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest. He was also charged with criminal weapons offenses for illegal possession of a handgun and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
