Newark NJ Carjacking LawyersLaw enforcement recently arrested two men who allegedly committed a carjacking in Newark, NJ.

The suspects are a 21-year-old Elizabeth NJ male and a 21-year-old Newark male. According to authorities, the suspects walked up to a motor vehicle that had stopped on the 100 block of Chestnut Street in Newark NJ around 4:00 p.m.

The suspects allegedly threatened the driver of the car and ordered him to let them have the car keys. The victim reportedly refused to hand over his vehicle keys; instead, he drove off.

The victim dialed 911 to notify Newark NJ police about the attempted carjacking. The Newark Police Department dispatched police officers to the area to investigate. Cops soon located and arrested the suspects.

If the suspects are convicted on the violent crime charges, they could each be sentenced to up to 30 years in New Jersey State Prison.
