Newark Weapons Offense LawyersNewark New Jersey police arrested two men who were allegedly caught illegally in possession of handguns.

The first suspect is a 25-year-old man who resides in Newark, NJ. He was arrested by police after a law enforcement search of his Newark apartment reportedly turned up a loaded handgun, a magazine clip, and a large amount of heroin. Authorities indicated that police seized 17 heroin-filled envelopes and 166 decks of heroin during a search of the residence.

The Newark suspect now faces a number of criminal charges, including weapons charges for illegal possession of a handgun and drug crime charges for illegal possession of heroin.

The second suspect was apprehended by police on a Newark NJ street. Patrol cops reportedly noticed the suspect walking on the sidewalk and carrying a handgun. During a subsequent chase, the suspect reportedly threw his firearm into a storm drain outside an abandoned building.

The suspect was eventually arrested. He faces criminal charges for unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of high-capacity ammunition, and contempt of a judicial order.

After being arrested and charged, the two suspects were taken to the Essex County Jail in Newark, New Jersey.
