Newark law enforcement arrested an East Orange NJ man accused of committing an armed robbery.
The suspect, a 19-year-old man from East Orange, was allegedly involved in an armed robbery and a shooting outside Alondra’s Bar on Lafayette Street in Newark, NJ.
The victim, a 39-year-old Newark NJ man, told police officers that the suspect used a handgun to hold him up after he exited the bar.
The victim was transported to nearby University Hospital, where doctors provided medical treatment for minor injuries.
Meanwhile, detectives with the Newark Police Department conducted an investigation into the theft incident and eventually decided to place the suspect under arrest.
The suspect now faces numerous criminal charges for crime that include armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, NJ.
