Police in Newark New Jersey are searching for a man who allegedly committed multiple robberies in the city and then escaped from police custody.
The suspect, a 19-year-old resident of Newark, NJ, was being transported by police in Trenton New Jersey when he was able to free himself from his restraints and get away from law enforcement.
Afterwards, Trenton NJ police searched the surrounding area for the suspect but could not find him.
The Trenton Police Department and the Newark Police Department later issued bulletins about the suspect and warned the public to be on the lookout for him.
If law enforcement can eventually locate and arrest the suspect, he would likely face criminal charges for robbery, theft, and escape from official detention.
