Newark NJ Armed Robbery LawyersNewark New Jersey police arrested a man who allegedly committed a brutal murder during an armed robbery at a gas station.

The violent crime happened earlier in 2016, but Newark NJ police officers were only recently able to locate and apprehend the murder suspect. According to law enforcement, the suspect killed the owner of the Power Gas Station, which is located on West Market Street in Newark, NJ.

The suspect is accused of using a handgun while attempting to rob the victim. Something apparently went wrong during the robbery, with the suspect allegedly using the firearm to fatally shoot the victim. Afterwards, the suspect reportedly fled the scene.

When emergency medical crews arrived at the gas station, they found the victim suffering from catastrophic wounds. The victim was rushed to University Hospital in Newark, where doctors later pronounced him dead. The victim, who lived in Iselin and owned the gas station in Newark, was 47 years old when he died.

The Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office spend months investigating the violent crime and eventually found the homicide suspect.

The suspect in the fatal shooting is a 49-year-old Newark NJ man. He has been charged with several crimes, including first degree murder, armed robbery, and weapons offenses.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, NJ. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
