Homicide Attorneys in Newark NJPolice in Newark, NJ are looking into the fatal shooting of two Essex County men who were sitting inside a parked vehicle.

The violent incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. The victims, a 33-year-old East Orange resident and a 26-year-old Newark resident, were reportedly seated in a car parked on the 400 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard in Newark, NJ.

The Newark Police Department got a call about the shooting and dispatched officers to the area. When Newark cops and emergency responders showed up at the site, they found the two victims. Tragically, paramedics could not save the shooting victims; both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office are working together to investigate the homicides.

If law enforcement is able to identify and arrest the shooter, that individual could be charged with first degree murder. A conviction for first degree murder in NJ could lead to a sentence of life imprisonment in state prison.
