Robbery Suspect in Newark NJNewark NJ law enforcement is searching for two men accused of robbing at a local gas station.

The suspects reportedly committed the theft crime just after 12:30 p.m. at the Delta gas station on Clinton Avenue in Newark, New Jersey. According to authorities, the suspects entered the station and threatened a gas station worker and a customer.

The suspects allegedly got money from the victims and then exited the station. They were last seen heading south on Fabyan Place.

The Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office are currently working together on an investigation into the theft offense. If police can eventually determine the identities of the culprits, the suspects would likely face criminal charges for robbery.

It is also possible that the suspects could face enhanced charges. That’s because the use of a weapon, such as a firearm or a knife, during a theft crime is a first degree felony.
