Newark Robbery LawyersNewark New Jersey police officers recently arrested a local man accused of committing two robberies on the same day.

The suspect is a 42-year-old man from Newark, New Jersey. Authorities indicated that the suspect committed the first theft offense around 8:00 a.m. on the 800 block of South 17th Street in Newark. The victim was reportedly walking on the street when the suspect approached him and forcibly stole his personal possessions.

Remarkably, the suspect allegedly committed another robbery just 30 minutes later at a store located on South 16th Street in Newark, NJ. Police officers who were searching the area for the suspect received notice of the store robbery and soon found the suspect. According to law enforcement, the suspect was holding a brown paper bag while he committed the robbery and claimed that the bag contained a firearm. (Police later said that the bag did not actually contain a weapon.)

The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with multiple crimes, including simple assault, terroristic threats, and criminal restraint. At this time, the suspect has not been charged with any criminal weapons offenses.
