Detectives with the Newark Police Department are investigating car break-ins and attempting to find nine suspects who allegedly committed the car thefts.
According to law enforcement, the suspects committed the theft offenses on streets in Newark, NJ. The different theft crimes are said to be unrelated.
Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose issued a statement about the suspects and indicated that police have secured arrest warrants.
The suspects include seven individuals who live in Newark, one person who lives in Paterson NJ, and one person who resides in Montclair, New Jersey.
If authorities can eventually identify and capture any of the suspects, the alleged culprits could face serious criminal charges for theft of movable property, auto theft, and burglary.
