Newark Burglary ChargesPolice are searching for a Newark New Jersey man who allegedly committed a car burglary.

The suspect is a 19-year-old resident of Newark, NJ. According to law enforcement officials, he was observed while in the process of breaking into a 2007 Chevy Trail Blazer parked on a road in Newark, New Jersey.

Two Newark cops were on patrol near the intersection of Osborne Terrace and Tillinghast Street around 10:00 p.m. when they reportedly saw the suspect trying to illegally enter an SUV.

The cops moved toward the suspect, which prompted him to run from the vehicle and flee the area. The officers could not catch the suspect.

Newark police detectives are currently investigating the car break-in and attempting to find the suspect.

If and when authorities arrest the suspect, he would likely face criminal charges for burglary and attempted theft.
