South Orange Burglary SuspectSouth Orange NJ police are trying to find a man who allegedly burglarized a local home and assaulted someone.

The burglary occurred around 10:15 a.m. According to law enforcement, the suspect broke into a residence on Ward Place in South Orange, New Jersey. The resident of the home heard noises coming from upstairs and subsequently went to investigate.

When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect reportedly responded by attacking her. The suspect allegedly punched the victim and then ran out of the house.

By the time South Orange cops arrived at the scene, the suspect was long gone. Detectives investigated the break-in and determined that the suspect got inside the home through a rear sliding door.

If South Orange detectives can identify and arrest the suspect, he would probably be charged with crimes that include burglary, theft of movable property, and aggravated assault.
