Newark New Jersey Criminal Attorneys New Jersey law enforcement recently shut down a local bar that was allegedly selling liquor without a valid license.

According to authorities, the bar, Yohaib Loft, was operating out of a commercial building on South Orange Street in Newark, NJ. The Newark Police Department opened an investigation into the establishment after received multiple complaints from local residents that alcohol was being illegally sold to patrons.

Newark detectives investigated the reports and went to Yohaib Loft on Sunday. According to officials, undercover detectives observed bar workers selling liquor to customers.

Newark NJ police subsequently placed two people under arrest: a 48-year-old Newark man and a 44-year-old East Orange NJ woman. Both suspects face multiple criminal charges, including maintaining an unlicensed liquor establishment, unlawful possession of alcohol, and illegal sales of alcohol. Beyond that, the female suspect faces criminal charges for aiding in illegal alcohol operations.
