Newark NJ Murder LawyersNewark New Jersey police have captured a man who was allegedly involved in a fatal home invasion.

According to Essex County prosecutors, three men broke into a Newark NJ home late at night and tried to commit an armed robbery.

The robbery attempt resulted in two occupants of the home being shot.

When Newark police officers got to the scene, they saw a 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old man who had sustained gunshot wounds.

The victims were transported to nearby University Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors at the medical facility could not save the 32-year-old victim; he was pronounced dead a few hours after the shooting. Authorities have yet to update the other victim’s medical condition.

Police later apprehended a 25-year-old man in connection with the murder. The other two suspects in the killing have not yet been located by police.

The suspect who was captured faces charges for felony murder and unlawful possession of a weapon, as well as other criminal charges.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, New Jersey. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $1 million bail.

Meanwhile, Newark NJ police continue to search for the other two suspects in the homicide.
