Newark New Jersey Robbery LawyersPolice arrested two teens accused of committing an armed robbery in the North Ward of Newark, New Jersey.

According to law enforcement, an off-duty cop saw the holdup being committed in the middle of the afternoon on North 10th Street near Berkeley Avenue in Newark, NJ. The police officer called in the robbery and gave police detailed descriptions of the suspects, an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old juvenile.

The robbery occurred when the two suspects walked up to the juvenile victim on the street. The suspects allegedly brandished a handgun and threatened to shoot the victim if he did not hand over his cell phone.

After the suspects allegedly took the victim’s cell phone, they fled the scene.

Police were able to track down the suspects in East Orange, New Jersey. When police captured the suspects, they reportedly found them with the victim’s cell phone. The suspects also reportedly had a number of other phones reported stolen in other recent robberies.

The suspects have been charged with armed robbery and multiple weapons offenses.
