Heroin Attorneys in East Orange NJEssex County law enforcement officials arrested two people and seized a large quantity of heroin in East Orange, NJ.

Detectives with the Essex County Sheriff’s Office conducted surveillance at the intersection of Central Avenue and Halsted Street as part of an investigation into illegal drug activity in the area.

Essex County detectives reportedly saw a 27-year-old Jersey City man drive into a parking lot and then almost immediately attempt to drive away after spotting an East Orange police patrol car.

Authorities pulled over the suspect’s vehicle and then searched the car. That search allegedly led to the discovery of multiple bags filled with heroin. According to officials, the heroin has a street value of approximately $50,000.

The driver, a 27-year-old Jersey City man, was arrested and charged with multiple drug crimes, including heroin distribution and heroin possession.

Meanwhile, the passenger, a 37-year-old man from Kenilworth, was also arrested and charged with drug offenses.
