Belleville NJ Manslaughter LawyersA man who used a firearm to shoot and kill a person near a Belleville strip club was recently sentenced to decades in NJ State Prison.

The suspect is a 33-year-old man who killed a 28-year-old man on the morning of October 8, 2015 in Belleville, NJ.

The violent incident happened outside Wet Gentlemen’s Club, a strip club located in Belleville, New Jersey. The suspect allegedly got into a heated argument with the victim and later used a handgun to shoot the victim in the back.

Belleville NJ cops eventually apprehended the suspect. He was subsequently charged with numerous crimes, including first degree murder and weapons offenses. The most serious charge of murder could have resulted in life imprisonment.

The suspect avoided the most severe penalties by reaching a plea agreement with Essex County prosecutors and pleading guilty to charges for aggravated manslaughter.

During a formal sentencing hearing in Essex County Superior Court, located in Newark, the suspect apologized to members of the victim’s family. The judge then sentenced the suspect to 20 years behind bars.
